Delivering the most productive and most secure Office experience at the lowest total cost of ownership for deployment and manageability, Office 365 ProPlus is the cloud-connected version of Office. But for customers who aren’t ready to move to the cloud, Office 2024 adds a new set of features to the on-premises apps for both users and IT pros. Just like Windows Long Term Servicing Channel (LTSC) releases, Office 2024 offers a collection of useful value-adds for customers that can’t be connected to the cloud or put through a normal update cadence.
The new improvements in Office 2024 are part of a laundry list of features that have been added to Office 365 ProPlus over the last three years. Office 2024 is a perpetual version and will not receive future feature releases. We will still, however, ship new innovations in collaboration, artificial intelligence (AI), security, and more every month on Office 365 ProPlus. Office 2024 gives PC users more powerful apps that help them create amazing content with less time. Features like Morph and Zoom enable you to create cinematic presentations using PowerPoint 2024. And enhanced inking features throughout the apps in Windows — such as the roaming pencil case, pressure sensitivity and tilt effects — help you create documents naturally.
